Tommy Chong speaks truth to power, then to Colbert

Stoner god Tommy Chong, he of Cheech & Chong and 9-months-in-federal-prison-for-selling-bongs fame, was for some brilliant reason invited to speak on MSNBC last week about that rich girl‘s legal troubles. Boy, did he take advantage of the opportunity, making an uptight fool out of Contessa Brewer. He then made a memorable follow-up appearance on The Colbert Report. Click here to view videos.

    Congrats to Tommy – he’s the first person who’s made me think that maybe Paris didn’t deserve prison.

    His bitch-slap of the press was wonderfully appropriate, though, and you have to wonder if this is the first Contessa has heard about Republican media ownership.
