During the &#039;70s in my past life as an environmental reporter, I covered the utility industry on a regional basis -- including the construction of the Northeast&#039;s nuclear power plants (and the attendant siting controversies) as well as the upgrades of transmission corridors (and the attendant controversies).

This series has dealt with issues that have lain fallow for more than 30 years. Usually, transmission issues (both in terms of line size as well as location) are too arcane and technical for the press to follow.

I have not seen work of this quality on these issues for nearly three decades.

As a reader, I&#039;m grateful for the insights. As a Scrogue, I&#039;m proud.
