There are 2 ways to get the media in your hands. 1. The quick way which has some disruption costs is nationalizing. 2. The slow road that hardly has bumps is to slowly have your media fuse into a medium (single entity). This is all done so that the executive branch can use it as a propaganda tool without any counter voice since all media has been eaten by the fusion. Same goes for the telecom Industry, it's hard if not imposible to spy on your people in a telecom industry with many players, that's why AT&T had to merge again to be used as a spy tool.

All tools are slowly put into place for the 4th reich, nazi's stay nazi's, no matter what package.

Edward Bernays...... Mockingbirds...... neocon corporatist monopolists all knew and know.... you control the media and you control the country. They basically do so now..... but they want the last few crumbs of independent media as well. Simply can't let the rubes know what really is going on..... they might actually get up off their couches.....
