Will.I.Am says Yes.We.Can

I don’t know what kind of musical talent lies in the McCain and Romney camps, but right now Obama is whomping the bejeezus out of Hillary’s girl Celine.

Barack has a great speaking voice compared to Hillary, I have actually listened to the audiobook version of his “Audicty of Hope” and it was one of the few audiobooks I have ever heard when the author read the whole thing from beginning to end.

  3. Kevin, February 3, 2008 at 7:33 am :

Well, I guess that means he should be president. I mean, he can read his whole book from beginning to end for an audiobook…He must be fit to be king.

Will.I.Am sucks. I can’t stand that trite dumbed-down radio crap music. Couldn’t Obama pick a talented rap artist that actually writes breathtaking lines? KRS-One, Pharaoh Monch… c’mon.

This is an AMAZING video. Powerful, solid, strong, and moving. STOP the cynics (a couple of them above in message).
ENOUGH of entrenched politics, enough of Hillary.
YES WE CAN. CHANGE. VOTE. VOTE OBAMA.

Personally I woulda liked Chuck D., Killah Priest or Chino XL, but that’s me. And by the way, quit yer bitchin’. Obama had nothing to do with the video. These guys did it on their own in reaction to Obama’s post-New Hampshire primary speech, which was indeed amazing.

Wow, you sound like loads and loads of disgruntled, dispirited, cynical fun.

Obama gets Talib behind him and it’ll all be over. Sounds pretty nice!

  9. Hopeful Citizen, February 3, 2008 at 11:20 pm :

I have been waiting for two generations for a leader to believe in. He has arrived.

Now it is our turn. If we stay quiet, we will get the same kind of politics that has existed for decades. it is time to help… and Barack is the leader to pull all of us together.

I, for one, am giving my time and my money to help elect Obama. Please get involved. This country can be great again. That greatness comes from us.

    Please support Obama.

he didnt pick will.i.am, mr i.am did this of his own volition

‘Well, I guess that means he should be president. I mean, he can read his whole book from beginning to end for an audiobook…He must be fit to be king.’
at least it proves he can read the law, which is more than i can say for president shrub

It’s a beautiful piece of film.

    America’s heart beats.

Our love smolders like embers in the fireplace.

    Just wait.

  12. Martin, February 4, 2008 at 7:00 am :

    Sam,

You do realize you’re the only person in America who even remembers Hillary had a theme song contest, let alone what the winning entry was? :p

  13. Martin, February 4, 2008 at 7:01 am :

Will.i.am is weak sauce, but I appreciate the effort made for the video. I can’t even fathom how good a pro-Obama video made by the likes of Chino XL, KRS-One, Michael Franti, or Chuck D would be. :)

“at least it proves he can read the law”

Well, he actually taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago:

For those of us who have a real hankering for a president knows the constitution inside and out and truly cares for it, this is a big deal.

  16. Mimi, February 7, 2008 at 10:28 pm :

Mike Shehaan, Obama Campaign did not commission the song. According to Dylan and will.i.am say they did not coordinate the production or release of this video with the Obama campaign. The lines were inspire by Obama’s speech after his second-place finish to Hillary Clinton in the New Hampshire primary.

Mike Sheehan, Sorry got ur name wrong earlier on.
