Thanks, fikshun. I hadn’t thought of it that way, but you’re right. Political money is a huge pyramid scheme.

DeLay would have to gain weight. Perhaps prison food would help.

A couple of years ago, I tried to explain to a Polish friend that she had gotten involved in a pyramid scheme. She had recently moved to the States, and I had trouble trying to explain how it worked or more to the point, why it didn’t. Explaining that she was basically working for Amway had no resonance. If I had pointed her to this article, I’m sure all would have been clear.

I want to see a new production of The Godfather, with Tom DeLay reprising Marlon Brando’s role.
