Appearances are deceptive." It reminds me of an experience I had in college. I studied martial arts for 2 years, and discovered one night that one of my teacher's black belt candidates was a bouncer at a bar I went to off and on. Here was this little guy, about 5'5, wiry, nothing too spectacular, taking cover charges between two hulking football types. It was then I realized that bouncers came in to varieties - the big hulking guys designed to intimidate the hell out of you so you don't start anything, and the truly dangerous types to deal with you if you're not sufficiently intimidated.
