Walk Away Rene, my most favorite song ever. Hubby found the entire Left Banke collection on CD at a little used record store for $8.59. He knew it was a real bargain since on eBay they are $50 plus, if you can find them. I have their first album and it is still in our collection. Sweet.

Here's a few songs that haunt me like nobody's business - James Blunt's "1973", "American Pie" by Don McLean, "Immigrant Eyes" by Irish folk singer Seamus Kennedy, and "Cat's in the Cradle" by Harry Chapin. For totally different reasons. And it's the last one that haunts the most. I have to turn it off most of the time I hear it.

Ahhh, the Left Banke. "Pretty Ballerina was one of my lovely wife's favorite songs." Melancholy, yet satisfying.

The Gin Blossoms cut made me think of this one - I saw these two bands playing together at Wait Chapel right about the time the first GB record was hitting...
