So, that means since Barack Obama started his Senate term in January 2005 and announced in February of 2007, he, at most, has served his country in the Senate for ~25 months. Other than that, he's been pressing for his next job and sitting out on his current. Wow. I'm not on the "experience bandwagon" like a lot of others, but after reading this piece, I'm taking a moment of pause to consider my choices.

I'm thinking. "It ain't illegal yet..."

What you get is a presidency not unlike the one we've experienced these past seven plus years, where governing is replaced by slogans, public relations efforts, and wholesale efforts to use the full apparatus of the federal enterprise for the partisan benefit of the Current Resident, as Mr Keillor would call him.

The Never-Ending Presidential Campaign: What's it cost us?...

You've probably noticed a relatively new phenomenon in American politics: The Never-Ending Presidential Campaign. This invites comment along the lines of "Good god, what have we wrought?"...
