		<description>Twenty percent of the earth&#039;s surface fresh water is pretty important.  There is also still a fair amount of waterborne freight traffic on the lakes.  Water levels (at least for Superior) are up, though two years ago marked the low point in the 80 year cycle and everyone around here was worried.  Connections like the Saint Mary&#039;s River (between Superior and Huron) are difficult to navigate for the 1000 footers in the best of times.</description>
