No shit. Seems to me that the majority in the senate for the past 6 years has been Democrats, correct me if I’m wrong here, please, but doesn’t that mean that they have been the people who are theoretically responsible for setting policy, crafting laws, setting budgets, and governing? So that must mean that the Republicans are responsible? Wow. I just don’t get why it’s a Republican problem that the Democrat controlled Senate couldn’t do anything but kowtow? In the words of the street “Bitch Please!” Swallow some of the responsibility and stop tossing our economic welfare down the toilet. Stop this budget’s pork and the next budget’s pork too. Start doing as your campaign promises said you all would.

As for Judy Woodruff, what do you expect on TV. Opiate of the masses indeed.

when i first heard about the changeover to DTV i was pissed, having purchased less than a year before the announcement a replacement 27-inch TV which, of course, is not DTV compatible.

i dropped my cable subscription back in 2004 because flipping through the “news” programs was making my head explode on a daily basis. i would only occasionally hazard watching the sunday chat shows on broadcast.

when my TV stopped receiving a signal two weeks ago i was a little bummed, but reading about woodward here makes me grateful that my TV no longer receives a signal.
