Frankly, much of that tends to make my head spin until I realize that it's just variations on the theme of "we've always had them so this is the way the world must be." And that <em>Boston Globe</em> op-ed takes on unilateral disarmament, which nobody currently in power is advocating, certainly not Barack Obama. Always easier to knock down a straw man. The "arms control community" is a complex beast that hasn't entirely changed with the change from the world of the Cold War. But treaties on arms limitation are better than none at all.
