Bittersweet how quickly they bloom and wilt.

Have you ever been to the cherry blossom festival in DC? I went when I was in elementary school and I’ve been dying to go back ever since. Some day I will.

Ubertramp (you are really Micheal, yes?) – yes I have – I grew up in the DC area. We lived in Northern Virginia. They really are beautiful around the Tidal Basin. I understand there is much conservation work happening to save the trees. Some are quite old now.

    Hope you are feeling better!

Yea, I’m Michael. I’m a bit better, thanks. Functional, at least. :) I lived in VA for about 3 years, I think. Mostly down in Chester. But my real dad lived closer to DC, in Rose Hill. I miss the fall colors.

Oh but Russ, they come back. And because they bloom and fade and seed, the tree remains… and there will be more trees.
