Tom,

Really excellent and on-the-money review of Greg's new book. There really are not all that many books about the adventures and challenges of honest-to-goodness journalists who cover stories around the world each day. That is one thing that makes Greg's good special.

Another special quality is Greg's dedication to integrity and honesty in reporter ... qualities that are becoming rarer in today's polarized media world.

"Life in the Wrong Lane" is a terrific read for anyone who has been curious about the "glamorous" job of being a television news correspondent.

Cheers to you!

That Greg Dobbs had to settle for iUniverse and couldn't get a major publisher is yet another symptom of the low regard in which foreign bureaus are held. Citizen journalism is too hit or miss to depend on as a low-cost substitute for foreign bureaus.

Wow. News coverage? Those were the days.

More reporters and more reporting budget would go a long way toward helping us avoid so much of the silliness we see these days, both at home and abroad.

Great review.
