In the USA the right wing is using the dirty tactics of McCarthyism, and by telling the "Big Lie" over and over to infect the mentally lazy, the ignorant, and the haters.We all know the effect of the "Big Lie" of Hitler's Nazi propaganda minister--Joseph Goebbels. The MSM needs to wake up and start doing the job they were supposed to do. Every progressive (or liberal or Democrat or intelligent American) who appears on FOX should be flogged, for instance. But let's also acknowledge that the "other" side are masters of noise and fabricated drama. It's a slightly different dynamic, yes, but another facet of the same stone. On the whole, it seems that most parties trying to push an agenda these days have developed their own particular expertise in noise-generation, and this is a problem that "democracy" and the free market aren't going to solve.
