The fact that the put the tag line of “Earlier” on the footage made them look really guilty. Leaving them an out, so thay could claim they didn’t mean to imply it was the same rally.

The mistake was in judgement. Getting caught by John Stewart is worse than getting caught by MSNBC. Hannity had no ideological comeback for the most trusted newsman in Ameruca, so he went with “it was a mistake”.

People guffaw when they hear that college students use Stewart as a news source, but instances like this prove that Stewart and his people are no dummies. They provide the kind of important political and media criticism that the news media itself used to do.

His point being that Hannity spent 10 seconds apologizing to Stewart at the end of the show while spending the rest of the show spewing dishonest fear-mongering.

Good catch O’Brien on how someone on his show would have to purposely manipulate the footage in order to get what they wanted.
