The inaugural ToR presented S&R’s readers with a diverse amalgam of contemporary bands – some up-and-comers and others with more established reputations – and asked them to tell us who they liked. In the end, 20 year-old British Pop Underground wunderkind Paul Steel bested the rest and was named our first ToR Champion.
